Liverpool is a wonderful and amazing city and has a very compact
city centre and there are great transport links to all the surrounding
region. If its football your here for or maybe its the horse racing,
Liverpool has it by the bucket full. When one wants to go clubbing
or even discover the local heritage sites, come to Liverpool where
the welcome is warm and the music and entertainment is delightful.
MUSIC:
Liverpool will always exist hand in hand with the Beatles and there
are several attractions in the city to highlight this great band
that rocked the world. The Beatles shop beside the location of the
Cavern Club is perfect for some shopping and a museum dedicated
to the Beatles is situated at Albert Dock. There is also a mystery
tour which will guide you around Liverpool and take in all of the
Beatle sights.
Classical music is found at the Philharmonic Hall with its large
programme of events, and not forgetting there is an annual Summer
Pops event in a large marquee at Kings Dock.
NIGHTCLUBS:
Cream is the name of best night-club in Liverpool and it attracts
bus loads of people who travel from England. There is also Heebeejeebies,
The Krazy House, the Blue Angel and Zanzibar. The Modo and Roccomodo
is also worth a look.
COMEDY in Liverpool:
Liverpool is famous for seeing the funny side of everything and
comedy in Liverpool is alive and kicking and you can go to a comedy
act at the Life Cafe or visit the Raw Hide Comedy Club. Also the
Up Front Comedy club and the Everyman host many comedians that will
leave you crying out for more. The Orgasmic Comedy Club at the Picket
is the latest club and is a great place for a laugh.
SPORT:
Tranmere Rovers football ground is not far from Liverpool city centre,
as well as two permiership football clubs, Everton and Liverpool.
Liverpool region and the surrounding lands are rich with 100 high
quality golf courses close to the city, there is great scope to
find a club that suits you. Not forgetting the Aintree race course
which is also very popular and especially around Spring time when
the Grand National race takes place.
