ALLERTON:
A nice leafy suburb that is mainly residential with quite a few
popular restaurants. Allerton Road houses a great selection of shops
and one can get almost everything here. Lots of great bars and fine
restaurants as well as a cinema can keep you occupied all day and
night. This district is quite popular with the tourists because
of the world famous Penny Lane and the other street 20 Forthlin
Road, where Paul McCarthy once lived.
Its actually open now and one can take a guided tour. Calderstones
Park is nice and spacious and beautifully landscaped that has a
vast areas of greenery and green houses full of tomatoes. There
are also Chinese gardens as well as a play area for children to
entertain themselves.
ANFIELD:
The home of Liverpool Football Club, and is the perfect Mecca for
all Liverpool fans to pay homage. The stadium is worth a look and
to catch up on its great history by visiting the Anfield museum
with combined tour centre. Stanley Park is also worth a look.
CHILDWALL:
A nice quiet neighborhood and has a very friendly atmosphere with
great pubs and fine restaurants like the great Owens Restaurant.
Not forgetting the two great areas of this district which are the
Black Woods and the Childwall Woods, for which both are great for
a nice relaxing walk or why not even bring the younger ones among
us on a trail through the woods. The Curch of all Saints should
also be on your itinerary as it is the only mediaval church still
standing in Liverpool
CHINATOWN:
Just on the out skirts of Liverpool one can see the fantastic enterance
to Europe's oldest existing Chinatown. This spectacular 45 foot
Arch which is recognised as the biggest in all of Europe, built
by a Chinese team from Shanghai to pay their respects to the Chinese
New Year party which was in Feburary 2000, and the price of this
was also spectacular costing £220,000 which will give you
an indication as to amazing this feature is. Loads of restaurants
as well as supermarkets dot the streets and there is a great buzz
in this part of town.
